I’d like to start this post with a giant THANK YOU to all my readers, including this particular one , for giving me a huge ego boost. It’s very gratifying to know that over the past five weeks I have provided some form of entertainment to hundreds or even thousands of people. Whether you admire me, laugh at me, empathize with me, feel sorry for me, or think my blog just plain sucks — I very much appreciate your attention!!

So it’s a few weeks into 2012, and I am once again totally on my own (although I do have a chocolate date — which I hope is a more exciting and tasty version of a coffee date — on the weekend that I’m stoked about). But being alone at this point in January means that, unless this upcoming meeting goes really well (fingers crossed!), I’ll probably be going out with a few new folks this year.
