Salomon hiking boots?

Actually the brand matters very little, What you have to take into account is comfort. Whatever you buying just make sure they fit really well and you have a good pair of socks.
I reccommend Army boots, they are engineered to be worn all day with comfort so they usually fit really well.

Advice on buying Hiking Boots?
Oct 30, 2007 by D.Torrence | Posted in Other - Outdoor Recreation
Hi,
Agree with Mr. Danger that boots depend a lot of feet. Take your time to try them on and then to break them in.
I hike regularly on slippery wet coastal paths, on rocky hills with slate and rubble as well as on well-maintained dirt paths. Most important to me are comfort and great traction.
I've owned Salomon, Merrell and Hi-Tec. My favorites hands-down are the Salomons, both the ¨Pro Amphibian (that I use on coastal paths and even kayaking and just can't wear them down) and the Salomon Extend Mid Hiking shoe. The latter is light, comfortable for day hikes and its soles grip like a salamander.
You can get the Salomon for around $70, possibly less if you hunt for a good deal.
Enjoy the hiking.
