Berghaus Steps Forward With New Sock Range
Outdoor brand Berghaus is dipping its toe into the sock market with a range to complement its footwear.
The new socks divide into three categories: expedition, hiking and trail sports, with 14 different styles in women’s and men’s versions.
Each sock features Berghaus’s Argentium silver ion technology to maximise anti-odour properties and anti-microbial action.
The expedition and hiking models combine what Berghaus claims is the first ever blend of merino wool and Primaloft which, it says, maximises the combined benefits of natural and synthetic fibres. The mixture of both materials delivers maximum warmth and comfort during extended use.
The Expedition Heavyweight Crew, with a recommended price of £18 is the warmest and most padded sock in the new range. Woven with heavy terry wool, the company says the socks work hard to keep feet dry, warm and blister free. The Ergonomic Holding System slingshot heel support provides comfortable compression around the heel to prevent slippage, working in conjunction with Berghaus’s trekking and mountaineering boots.

What is the difference between hiking boots and work boots? Will hiking 7 miles in work boots hurt my feet?
Mar 24, 2009 by Thomas | Posted in Other - Outdoor Recreation
If your work boots are broken in and comfortable, go with them! Newer boots may not conform to your feet comfortably, and the trail is NOT the place to find out!
Good luck!
