What brand hiking boots work for a woman's narrow foot?

I would wander into any REI, the footware people tend to be extremely knowledgeable and able to fit people feet into anything. Give yourself at least an hour to two to try on boots and make sure to bring the socks you'll be using on your trip.

Has anyone else had problems breaking in Vasque hiking boots?

Yes, I bought a pair of Vasque hiking boots a long time ago. They were not the sundowners model, I don't remember which they were. I'm telling you, they might just as well have been made out of concrete. After about two years, I finally threw them away.
