Columbia Sportwear Omni-Heat USB Boots

USB gadgets – especially ones that, at first glance, seem a trifle ridiculous – are all the rage these days, despite the standard’s somewhat weedy 5V at 5mA power capabilities, and heated gloves and socks have long been available – but how about heated hiking boots?

That’s the plan from Columbia Sportwear, which has just launched the Omni-Heat Boots – part of the company’s Omni-Heat range of winter wear – which are specifically designed to keep your pedal extremities nice and warm while you’re out on a winter wander.

Profiled over on Gearlog , the boots appear – at first glance – to be a fairly standard, high-ankle hiking boot.  Everything you would expect from a boot is present and correct: high-grip, non-slip rubber sole; adjustable laces with multi-level hooks for comfort; high-visibility yellow highlights; and comfortable padding within to make sure you don’t get any injuries during your expedition.

My hiking boots laces are always loose. Is there a solution?

when tying them, go round twice with the first twist, then tie double loops. my kids shoes are always tight this way

what is the name of the brand of classic style hiking boots that are brown with red laces?

What about "Open Country" brand mountaineering boots?Brown suede w/red laces..check out the link..it's to a pair on Ebay.
If you search on there for "vintage hiking boots" or vintage mountaineering boots..etc..you should be able to find the name..even when you're not looking to buy..you can use Ebay for all sorts of information..
