IT’S pleasing to see Eddy Groves has something in common with his new missus.

Turns out they have a shared interest in subtle, understated foot attire.

While Eddy prefers snakeskin boots (or is that ostrich?), his new better half, Viryan Collins-Rubie, turned heads in Queen’s Square yesterday showing off some Gold Coast chic of her own.

Mrs Eddy showed up in, er, peep-toe leopard skin stiletto pumps, complete with a black bow on top.

Pleasingly, she didn’t stop there, wearing a matching headband with bow, although she stopped short of doubling up on the leopard skin look.

Wouldn’t want to overdo it.

Your diarist is reliably informed Mrs Eddy, a professional teddy bear saleswoman, showed admirable restraint, choosing navy blue, fitted jodhpur-style trousers with a cropped bolero style jacket, rather than the Gold Coast staple of head-to-toe leopard skin.
